Are you ready for the Retrograde?
What I find to be particularly interesting about Venus entering Leo is that she's hanging out there with Lilith. As you may or may not know whenever Lilith is around, we know that it is time to play in the dark.
I use the word 'play' on purpose as Leo is our sign of front facing fun, laughter and play. Leo loves to experience and running with the joy is written in the DNA of anyone with lots of Leo energy in their chart.
With Venus right next to Lilith in Leo, we are finally able to have some fun with our shadow.
When you think of shadow work it is easy to immediately get overwhelmed with having to acknowledge the triggers and shortcomings that have aided in why you are or aren't at a place in life that you desire and deserve to be in.
Most of us have a natural aversion to shadow work simply because who wants to face our deep dark secrets once, let alone on a regular basis.
I feel like making the conscious decision to lead a spiritual life is one long walk with the shadow and there are certain times in your life where that walk may take you through some pretty heavy terrain.
Needless to say, expect to laugh at yourself during this Venus retrograde and her eloquent dance with Lilith.
What to expect during Venus Retrograde in Leo:
A return to your passions
Keeping love light and alive (try going mini golfing or go-carting with your significant other, do something active and out of the box during this transit)
Spend extra time with your kids - get to know them on an even deeper level
Radical Acceptance, of Self, of the other, of a situation and/or circumstance
How to work with Venus & Lilith:
Laugh at yourself! Stop taking everything so seriously, it's all gonna be okay babe - it has to be.
Radical Acceptance also deserves a spot here - we often try to fix our shadows when the point of shadow work is acceptance and integration NOT correction
Find the beauty in a quality about yourself that you find ugly. Simmer on that a bit - could be physical or non-physical but we all have that thing about ourselves that we find ugly or off-putting, now go and find the beauty in it!
