Venus stations direct today, no wonder my nervous system has been calling me higher on this day. 

Venus is all about comfort, safety, love & romance, financial security, art, investing, routine & commitment. We can never do too much nervous system regulation but I think as a collective the spiritual community has taken this term ‘nervous system regulation’ and made it kind of ethereal. 

Like we must be working with our spiritual body to regulate our nervous system but in reality nervous system work is very physical and has everything to do with our physical body.

I was called to bring this up because one of the lovely Sirens inside of the Siren portal had a fantastic question about nervous system work last week. And it got me thinking; if she is wondering how she can implement more of this work in her every day life, then I'm sure others are too and furthermore, when is the last time the actual definition of the nervous system has even been explored.

I think we need to go back to basics here…

Your nervous system is your body's command system. It controls all of your movements, thoughts and essentially everything that is automated about us. 

There is so much emphasis on nervous system regulation within the spiritual community because, well, think about it; how can I, as a spiritual healer and teacher be of my highest level of service to you, if I am constantly suffering from intrusive thoughts or hella anxiety?

Now this is not to say that your favorite tarot reader or spiritual teacher doesn't suffer from the occasional anxious day but the difference is that as intuitive, empathic individuals choosing to lead a life devoted to spiritual development, it is our responsibility to not only understand but implement practical and magickal ways to regulate our nervous system on a regular basis. 

In a world that thrives off of constant movement and measures self worth through levels of productivity, it is easy imagine that our nervous system take a beating on a regular basis. 

Our nervous systems are impacted by:
✨How often we sleep
✨Our subconscious and conscious thought patterns
✨Our routines
✨The television and music we consume (also the volume of it, like how loud it is)
✨Our relationships and the communication style of others
✨How much we move or don't move our bodies
✨The consistency of our spiritual practice/routine
✨Our bank accounts

Damn near everything….

I think we may get a little caught up in the HOW of it all right? Like, we look at what is trending on instagram or tiktok when it comes to nervous system regulation and think we should be doing that.

For example, right now EFT Tapping is super big…everyone is tapping on their bodies on social media right now (no shade, I tap too!) But this modality of healing can also bring on dis-regulation within your nervous system. How?

Well, think about it, picture this: You are new or newer to the term nervous system regulation and you want to learn more. You begin to understand what the nervous system is and how it's affected by the outside world and you quickly realize that you have to start implementing some sort of something to make your nervous system more of a priority… so you go to social media.

And everyone who is anyone is tapping all over their body…all of a sudden you feel a bunch of emotions and insecurities boil up as you struggle to find out how to do the tapping, when to do the tapping, how you know if it's working, are your favorite content creators tapping and so on and so forth.

I say all this as a gentle reminder from your friend, healer, spiritual guide and business bae that we do not have to overcomplicate things. We can be moving the needle forward in our business, romantic relationships and personal goals without having to do all the fancy bells and whistles.

Here are some practical ways to get intimate with your nervous system today:
✨Go for a walk outside
✨Get more sleep
✨Increase your water intake by as little as 16 oz (or more if you can) - the trick is to do this consistently to actually see a difference
✨Sit in the quiet without any outside stimulation
✨Journal
✨Have sex/an orgasm 
✨Eat food! ( The nourishing kind! The more color on your plate the better)
✨Have a good cry
✨Stretch 

Implementing any sort of nervous system regulation in your every day life will most certainly have positive effects on your business, brand and banking account.

You will also feel more confident, sure of yourself and ready to take on even more in your life because you feel more in control of your current environment.
